2022 ICSC Regional Workshop on the United Nations Compensation System
Muscat, Oman, 21-25 November 2022
The International Civil Service Commission held its Regional Workshop from 21 to 25 November 2022 in Muscat, Oman.
The Workshop was intended for staff of the United Nations common system organizations who have operational responsibility for administering the compensation of international staff, including the post adjustment system, mobility and hardship scheme, daily subsistence allowance rates and other allowances and benefits.
These workshops provide an important opportunity for the Commission and its secretariat to interact with staff members in the field and better understand issues of relevance to their conditions of service.
Thirty-four participants from 18 countries representing 16 different organizations attended the workshop. The participants were international Professional staff, National Officers and senior General Service staff. Based on the feedback received, the participants found the workshop to be very well organized and the material to be comprehensive and relevant to their work. They also found the presentations to be of high quality and very informative.
