The United Nations common system has in place arrangements to recognize operationally required mobility between duty stations and the degree of hardship experienced by staff assigned by their organizations to difficult duty stations. These arrangements refer to mobility incentive payments, hardship allowance, compensation for relocation related costs; other benefits include additional education travel, and additional reimbursement of boarding costs.
