In general, for the period up to 60 days, 100% DSA is payable. After 60 days, a reduced rate is payable, which the exception of some locations, where the reduced rate is applicable after a different period (for instance, in New York the reduced rate applies after the 30th day). Travel policies of individual organizations determine when a reduced DSA rate is payable. DSA rates are reduced after 60 days because it is assumed that the traveller would move from short-term facilities like hotels to long-term accommodations, i.e., apartments.
