I purchased major appliances within the five year time frame, but at a different duty station. Should I include those?

No. The purchase of major appliances is meant to be an indicator of what landlords supply for dwellings within your current duty station. If landlords do not supply certain major appliances, and as a result those appliances must be purchased by the staff member, then the survey attempts to capture and reflect those expenditures in the housing component.

Including appliances bought in a prior duty station would alter the results and defeat the purpose of capturing costs of housing within the current duty station.
