Can you provide an example as to how the post adjustment amount is calculated?

The example below shows the calculation of the post adjustment for a staff member at a fictitious duty station which has an assumed PAM of 65.6. The example assumes a P4/VI staff member, with a net base salary as published, with dependency benefits.

Reference date:                        January 2016

Post adjustment index (PAI):                165.6 (calculated as described above)

Post adjustment multiplier (PAM):        165.6 minus 100 = 65.6

Base salary (P4/VI, net, w/dep):        $82,193 (as published)

Post adjustment:                        $82,193 x 0.656 (Multiplier as a %) = $53,918

This amount, $53,918, is to be added to the staff member’s salary of $ 82,193 as a “post adjustment” to arrive at $136,111 in net remuneration.
