The example below shows the calculation of the post adjustment for a staff member at a fictitious duty station which has an assumed PAM of 65.6. The example assumes a P4/VI staff member, with a net base salary as published, with dependency benefits.

Post adjustment index (PAI): 165.6 (calculated as described above)
Post adjustment multiplier (PAM): 165.6 minus 100 = 65.6
Base salary (P4/VI, net, w/dep): $82,193 (as published)
Post adjustment: $82,193 x 0.656 (Multiplier as a %) = $53,918
This amount, $53,918, is to be added to the staff member’s salary of $ 82,193 as a “post adjustment” to arrive at $136,111 in net remuneration.
